Played this for a few hours! The game is running perfectly without technicall issues and is very much like the original game in terms of functionality. There are minor changes to unit behavior (did helicopters always fire depth mines?), but the biggest change is indeed in the difficulty.
As it is, the game is aimed at mostly hardcore players who enjoy greater difficulty and challenge. Unfortunately too hardcore for me, but it's been nice to have this around again. Would absolutely love a difficulty setting that casual players could use to turn down the heat a little and have some fun too.
Overall, big kudos for the great reimplementation and thanks for bringing this gem back to life :3
I literally can't describe how happy I am finding out this exists. More than a decade ago I used to play this with my little brother and we absolutely loved this game. Seeing it remade on my favorite game engine is extremely exciting.
I haven't tested it yet, but I'll be sure to give it a try with him. If the comments are to be believed, this will be more of a challenge than the original...looking forward to it!
Unfortunately the first level is too much unbalanced. I can't defeat it. The difficulty progression is too fast. In the original game, the boss would only show up when i've attacked the enemy base to a certain HP. In this one, i've never spawned any troops and the boss is already comming with a massive army of enemies, that i don't have the resources to defend myself yet. (Yes, i've bought the income upgrades, as well as recycle). I used to love this game, but this remake is unplayable
Whenever i have a lot of money and there is a huge wave of enemies, i cant spawn more units to defend.
the game is not unfair if not totally impossible after 5 seconds of the first level you already fear more than 40 enemies attacking you and your troops are unable to defend you because they are 40 against 1 and you can only lose try again lose and lose again It is not a matter of strategy, it is completely impossible, unlike the normal black navy where they progressively attack you with more force and the levels are repetitive but playable
No, I beat the entire game. Just upgrade your money making and spam troops
I agree, the first level is speeding too damn fast, i haven't bought 3 upgrades and the boss is already coming? The original game wasn't like that
I found a bug on the browser version. when it says dreadnought is approaching and you are attacking the base, their health goes to INF which I think stands for infinity because they stop taking any damage. I couldn't get a screenshot though

That is not a bug. The enemy base will be invincible while the flagship is alive. After destroying the flagship, you can attack the enemy base again.
Oh okay, thanks cause I had some trouble getting past that. I might beat the game this time.
